Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas and company have reigned supreme in their region once again.
Grayhound qualified for IEM Dallas after defeating VERTEX in the Oceania Closed Qualifier final with a 2-0 scoreline. There are just four more open spots at the $250,000 tournament after Grayhound's qualification, with the North American event set to run from May 29-June 4.
Grayhound were invited straight to the closed qualifier and started the tournament with a victory over Encore. They then met with VERTEX in the upper final and defeated them 2-1 before repeating the feat in the grand final. Joshua "INS" Potter topped the charts for the team during the qualifier, putting up a 1.25 rating in the seven maps of play.
Grayhound returned to domestic play after their ESL Pro League Season 17 campaign, in which they defeated 00NATION and Ninjas in Pyjamas before dropping two qualification chances for the playoffs against paiN and a rematch versus 00NATION.
Their next test comes at the ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 16, but their focus is undoubtedly on the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Asia RMR held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on April 6-9. The Australian team will hope to secure one of the two Paris Major spots up for grabs at the event, with their first test coming against TYLOO.
